Description

Easy Air Fryer Chocolate Chip Scones are golden, flaky, and loaded with melty chocolate chips. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a sweet snack in minutes!

Ingredients 

  • cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 6 tablespoons butter, cold and diced into 1-inch pieces
  • ¾ cup heavy cream
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • cups mini chocolate chips, (up to 2 cups for extra-loaded scones)

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, kosher salt, granulated sugar, and baking powder.
  • Add the cold diced butter, eggs, heavy cream, and vanilla extract. Mix until a soft dough just comes together — do not overmix.
  • Fold in the mini chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  • Generously spray a scone pan or silicone molds with olive oil and press the dough in firmly, getting into the corners. (Or pat the dough into a 1-inch-thick circle on a floured surface and cut into 8 wedges.)
  • Place the pan, molds, or wedges into the air fryer in a single layer.
  • Air fry at 320°F for 10–12 minutes, until golden and set in the center. Let rest 5 minutes before removing. Work in batches as needed.

Notes

For a bakery finish, brush the tops with cream or melted butter and sprinkle with coarse sugar before air frying. For a glaze, whisk 1 cup powdered sugar with 1–2 tablespoons milk and ½ teaspoon vanilla and drizzle over cooled scones.
