Description

Flaky, golden puff pastry topped with thin apple slices and cinnamon sugar, made in the air fryer in under 20 minutes. An easy breakfast or dessert with just 6 simple ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 large apple, thinly sliced
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon water

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 350°F.
  • Lay the thawed puff pastry on a flat surface and cut into 6 equal pieces with a pizza cutter.
  • In a small bowl, whisk the egg with 1 tablespoon water. Brush evenly over the pastry pieces.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Sprinkle some over the egg-washed pastry.
  • Arrange the thin apple slices over the pastry, then sprinkle the remaining cinnamon sugar over the top.
  • Place the pastries in the air fryer basket in a single layer and cook at 350°F for 7–9 minutes, until puffed and golden.
  • Plate, serve warm, and enjoy!

Notes

Best served fresh from the air fryer. Don't overcrowd the basket — cook in batches if needed so the pastry puffs evenly. Slice apples thin so they cook through in the same time as the pastry. For a firmer, tart bite use Granny Smith; for sweeter, use Honeycrisp or Gala.
