Description

Air fryer monkey bread made with canned biscuits, cinnamon sugar, and a buttery brown sugar glaze. Five ingredients, no oven, and ready in under 30 minutes — a warm, sticky, pull-apart breakfast treat.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 16 ounces refrigerated biscuits, 1 can
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted

Instructions

  • Grease a small (6-inch) bundt pan generously with non-stick cooking spray or olive oil spray, coating all the fluted corners.
  • Combine the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon in a large zip-top bag and shake to mix.
  • Cut each biscuit into 4 pieces, adding them to the bag as you go. Shake until every piece is fully coated in cinnamon sugar.
  • Place the coated dough pieces loosely into the prepared bundt pan. Do not press down — the pan should be no more than two-thirds full.
  • Melt the butter and stir in the brown sugar until smooth. Pour evenly over the top of the dough.
  • Place the pan in the air fryer and cook at 320°F (160°C) for 12 minutes. Check the center; if still doughy, cook up to 5 minutes more.
  • Let rest 5 minutes, then invert onto a plate. Spoon any remaining glaze over the top and serve warm.

Equipment

  • Air Fryer, Air Fryer Basket or Air Fryer Oven
  • Bundt Pan, I recommend a mini bundt pan.
  • Cooking Spray

Notes

  • Jumbo or Grands biscuits: cut into 6 pieces instead of 4 and add 3 to 5 minutes to the cook time.
  • Doneness: the center should read 190°F to 200°F on an instant-read thermometer.
  • Pan size: a 6-inch bundt pan fits most basket air fryers. Measure your basket before buying. A 6-inch round cake pan is a workable substitute — add about 3 minutes.
  • Optional icing: whisk 1 cup powdered sugar with 1 to 2 tablespoons milk and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla, then drizzle over the warm bread.
