Description

This easy copycat Boston Market Sweet Potato Casserole bakes up creamy in the air fryer with a buttery brown sugar streusel topping — the perfect holiday side dish.

Ingredients 

Sweet Potatoes

  • 4 pounds sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1" pieces
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, ½ stick
  • ¾ cup packed light brown sugar
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg

Streusel Topping

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup old-fashioned rolled oats, not instant
  • 6 tablespoons packed light brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ cup chopped pecans
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups mini marshmallows, optional

Instructions

  • Lightly spray ramekins or a small air-fryer-safe casserole dish with cooking spray. Cut the sweet potatoes into 1- to 2-inch pieces.
  • Boil the sweet potatoes in a saucepan of water until fork-tender, about 10 to 15 minutes. Drain well.
  • Mash the sweet potatoes until smooth, then fold in the butter, brown sugar, heavy cream, salt, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  • Divide the mashed sweet potatoes evenly among the ramekins (or transfer to the casserole dish).
  • In a bowl, combine the flour, oats, brown sugar, melted butter, pecans, and cinnamon until crumbly. Sprinkle over the sweet potatoes. Add marshmallows now if using.
  • Air fry at 300°F for 10 to 15 minutes, until golden. Tent with foil if the top browns too quickly.
  • Rest a few minutes, then serve warm.
