Description

A homemade Mayochup built from the actual Heinz ingredient label — mayo, ketchup, vinegar, sugar, and a seasoning blend. Five minutes, no cooking, tastes like the bottle.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon distilled white vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon lemon juice
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • teaspoon paprika
  • teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Whisk the mayonnaise and ketchup in a small bowl until the color is completely uniform with no streaks.
  • Add the vinegar, lemon juice, and sugar. Whisk until the sugar fully dissolves.
  • Whisk in the onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, and salt.
  • Cover and refrigerate at least 30 minutes before serving.
  • Taste and adjust — more ketchup for sweetness, more vinegar for tang, more salt if flat.

Equipment

  • Small mixing bowl
  • Whisk

Notes

Use full-fat mayonnaise for the closest match. Do not substitute mustard. Store refrigerated up to one week; do not freeze.
