This Ninja Slushi vanilla milkshake is thick, creamy, and made with no ice cream — just milk, cream, sugar, and vanilla churned right in the machine.
Ingredients
3cupswhole milk, cold
1½cupsheavy cream, cold
½cupgranulated sugar
1tablespoonpure vanilla extract
⅛teaspoonfine salt
Instructions
In a large pitcher, whisk the sugar and salt into about half the milk until fully dissolved and no grit remains at the bottom, about 1 minute.
Whisk in the remaining milk, heavy cream, and vanilla extract until fully combined. Keep the mixture cold.
Make sure the auger and drip tray are seated in the Ninja Slushi. Pour the base in through the top opening, keeping it between the MIN and MAX fill lines. Lock the lid.
Select the MILKSHAKE preset and start the machine. Let it run 30 to 45 minutes.
The milkshake is ready when the mixture climbs the auger and holds a soft ripple instead of falling flat. Place a glass under the spout and pull the handle to dispense.
Serve immediately with a wide straw. Rinse the vessel right away with warm water using the rinse cycle.
Equipment
Ninja Slushi Professional Frozen Drink Maker
Large pitcher or 8-cup measuring cup

Notes
Cold ingredients matter. A room-temperature base can push the churn past an hour.
Don't reduce the sugar below ⅓ cup. Sugar lowers the freezing point, and cutting it means the mixture may never slush.
Too thick to dispense? Add ¼ cup cold milk through the lid opening and churn a few minutes more.
Too thin? Check that you used heavy cream and not half-and-half. The MILKSHAKE preset needs roughly 10% fat to churn properly.
Dairy-free: full-fat canned coconut milk is the only reliable substitute. Oat and almond milk don't have enough fat and come out icy.
