Description

Buttery, parmesan-dusted breadsticks made from store-bought pizza dough in under 20 minutes. A copycat of Pizza Hut's classic side, made entirely in the air fryer.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound pizza dough, room temperature
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted, divided
  • 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 350°F for 3 minutes.
  • Divide the dough into 8 pieces. Roll each into a 6-inch rope and twist 2–3 times.
  • In a small bowl, combine the parmesan, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, onion powder, parsley, and salt. Set aside.
  • Brush the twisted dough with half the melted butter. Arrange in the air fryer basket in a single layer with about 1 inch between each.
  • Air fry at 350°F for 6–8 minutes, until deep golden brown and 190–200°F in the center.
  • Immediately brush with the remaining butter and sprinkle generously with the seasoning blend.
  • Serve warm with marinara for dipping.

Notes

Basket size determines breadstick size and batch count. Cook in batches rather than crowding — crowded breadsticks steam instead of crisping. For gluten-free dough, drop to 340°F and add 2 minutes.
