Description

Crispy air fryer frozen potato wedges cook in under 20 minutes with no thawing required. Golden and crunchy on the outside, fluffy inside — the easiest side dish in your freezer.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound frozen potato wedges, about 16 oz
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil or avocado oil spray, optional
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Spread the frozen potato wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between them. Work in batches if needed.
  • Lightly spray the wedges with olive oil or avocado oil.
  • Air fry at 400°F for 15 to 18 minutes, shaking the basket at 6 minutes and again at 12 minutes.
  • Check for doneness — wedges should be deep golden and crisp at the edges. Add 2 to 3 more minutes for thick-cut wedges.
  • Season with salt immediately while hot, and serve right away with your favorite dipping sauce.

Equipment

Notes

  • Do not thaw the wedges. Cook straight from frozen for the crispiest results.
  • Sweet potato wedges: reduce to 380°F for 12 to 15 minutes.
  • Reheat leftovers at 380°F for 4 to 6 minutes.
  • Store cooled leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
